Incoloy 825 Round Bars

Incoloy 825 Round Bars

Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additional elements such as copper, molybdenum, and titanium. It is renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance, making it a valuable material for various industrial applications, especially in aggressive chemical and high-temperature environments.

INCOLOY 825 ROUND BARS

Apart from nickel, the additions of metals like molybdenum and copper enable the Incoloy 825 Rods to resist reductive containing agents and acids. Chromium in the ASTM B425 Gr 825 offers resistance to oxidising conditions, such as nitric acid solutions, nitrates and oxidising salts. The alloy is stabilised by the addition of titanium .Stabilizing the Incoloy 825 Bar is known to resist pitting and intergranular attack that could take place after fabrication. This also includes welding, during which, the Alloy 825 Round Bar reaches a the critical sensitisation temperature range between 650°C – 760°C, when the alloy is heated.

The ASTM B425 UNS N08825 offers exceptional resistance to corrosion from acids like sulphuric and phosphoric acids. The alloy is often, considered to be one of the most cost effective alloys in sulphuric acid service.Inconel 825 Round Bar has been approved for use in pressure vessel that operate in temperatures up to 525°C. Brittle phases may form in Incoloy 825 at temperatures above the range of 540°C. Therefore, it is not normally used in applications at these temperatures as well as higher temperatures, where creep rupture properties of the alloy would be design factors.

Applications of the Incoloy 825 Round Bar includes, Sulphuric acid piping and vessels, Pickling tank heaters, pickling tanks and equipment, Phosphoric acid evaporators, Chemical process equipment, Propellor shafts, Ammonium sulphate vessels, Calorifiers, Tank trucks, Electrostatic precipitator electrodes, Expansion bellows, Marine exhaust systems, Power station ash hoppers, Hot vessels for food, water and seawater.

Specifications
